GREEN BOILED PEANUTS

I had this on the camera from my last week on deployment.
Green Boiled Peanuts...in a can! They don't look very edible, but they taste might fine!

FIRST TIME DINER

The WAFFLE HOUSE!
I've seen them all over the country, but this weekend was my first stop.
It was delicious, quick and hot. The smothered, covered, chopped and diced hash browns hit the mark!

German Food

I visited the Bier Garden in Portsmouth, Va this week.
It was great...Pork Chop with Sauerkraut, Red Cabbage and German Potato Salad.

Mount Rushmore

We visited Mt Rushmore this week.  The place is awesome.  Due to the long drive, we only spent about 3 days.  You could easily spend a week and just get started.  The views and wildlife were breathtaking.

The Badlands, South Dakota

We stopped through the Badlands, SD on our vacation.  The place was very neat, like a mini Grand Canyon.  I couldn't help but to try a buffalo hotdog while I was there.

Suez Canal Transit

A couple pics as we transited the Suez Canal on our way back home.
This ship had about 9 feet of clearance under the friendship bridge.
Also, I'm trying to get my Dorothy Lane discount by getting my picture taken
holding one of the their shopping bags with Egypt in the background.

Portuguese Chow

Portugal had some delicious food. I had a leg of something, green soup and some other great dishes.

Porutguese Water Closet

The place goes by many names: The Restroom, The Toilet, Bathroom, a Squatter; however, in Portugal, it was called a Water Closet. What struck me as odd was the absence of a toilet seat and the toilet paper was located on the outside of the stall.

A minha visita a Portugal

I visited Lisbon, Portugal this month. While there, I took a tour to Fatima and a 12th Century Monastery. Portugal was my last port visit on my deployment.
