Birthday Weekend

We had two birthday party's this weekend. One for our niece Gracie and one for our cousin Christena. Happy Birthday!!

Free Golf

The base has a 5 hole (four par 4's and a par 3) course on base...and it's free!
However, the daylight savings time change makes it dark by 5pm. That's going to put a kink in my golf plans!

Going to School

I'm in my third week of school at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia. I'm taking the Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence Staff and Operations (JC4ISOC) course.

WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP

This weekend, Mitzi and I made a short visit to the Nations Capital to give my respects to President Bush. However, he was busy solving the economic crises, so we did some site seeing instead.

PUMPKIN SHOW

This week, we ventured to the Pumpkin Show in Circleville, Ohio. Besides seeing a variety of pumpkins, the show offered tasty offerings such as Pumpkin Cream Puffs, Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Burgers. We were once again in Republican territory; included in the pictures is Katelin at the Pickaway Republican Headquarters.

SAUERKRAUT FESTIVAL

This weekend, we took all the girls to Waynesville, Ohio for the annual Sauerkraut Festival. The festival offered all things sauerkraut, including: pork sauerkraut, sauerkraut balls, pizza and even fudge. The girls also enjoyed a festival favorite--caramel apples!

Weekend Events

This past week was filled with a trip to the annual apple festival and a family clam bake. Pictures include a caramel apple dish, a buffalo burger and a seafood pack.

ZINZINNATI OKTOBERFEST

Cincinnati hosted its annual Oktoberfest. To enjoy my own German heritage, we tried Goetta , Metworst, Sauerkraut Balls, Mock Turtle Soup, Potato Pancake and Strudel.
